北京时间5月27日，奇才和76人的季后赛首轮第2场，第四节，拉塞尔-威斯布鲁克在一次进攻中不慎脚踝扭伤，并提前返回更衣室。
当时，奇才队发动快攻，威少在前场接球时不小心右脚踩到了防守球员的脚面，导致右脚踝扭伤。
受伤之后，威少显得极为沮丧和痛苦，他坐在场边，无法站起来。最终，威少在工作人员的护送下返回更衣室。
