在这笔交易完成之后，薪资专家鲍比-马克思报道：雄鹿使用DJ-奥古斯丁的交易特例吃下了阿伦的合同，这样以来球队的奢侈税从3600万美元增加至4400万美元。
而球队的工资支出加上奢侈税，雄鹿下赛季将付出薪资额是2亿美元。
